Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it.  Proverbs 22:6

Children's Ministry

Children’s Ministry at Northern Hills is for children who are newborn through 5th grade.  Our staff and volunteers are passionate about helping children understand the love of Christ through age-appropriate lessons, play, and music.  Children’s Ministry includes everything from rocking babies in the nursery to VBS, and everything in between.  It’s a busy, but meaningful ministry, and we’d love to partner with you in raising your kids to know Christ!

Sunday Morning

What does it mean to be Wonder FILLED?  It means you know who God is and who He has made you to be.  It means you look for Him and see Him throughout His creation— including within your life!  This series will help kids discover their true identity in God’s big story and know without a doubt that they belong to the wonder-giver himself!  Our Wonder Ink curriculum covers the following values: God Knows Me, Jesus Loves Me, the Holy Spirit Leads Me, and I Am a Child of God.

9:45 & 11:00 a.m.  |  Sunday School  |  Nursery-5th Grade

Nursery Care - Birth - 2 year old
Preschool Sunday School - 3 and 5 year old
Elementary - Kinder - 5th grade

Check in begins at 9:30 a.m. at the Children's hall security doors entrance from the Gathering Area.

Please ensure all contact information on file is correct.

Children's Moment

Children's Moment takes place during each of the morning worship services.  Children are welcome to join their parents in church for the beginning of the service and then are invited to Children's Moment.  They can then go to Sunday School or back to join their parents for the remainder of the service.  Adult staff and volunteers lead the kids to Sunday School after Children's Moment.

Children's Bulletin

There are children's bulletins for your child, so that they can follow along with the service.  You will find them at the back of the Worship Center or Sanctuary.  Don't forget to grab a bag of coloring pencils for the picture on the back of the bulletin.

Wednesday Nights

Come and join us on Wednesdays at our 1604 location for dinner, engaging Bible lessons, some Bible based games and activities and maybe even some time on the playground.  We love sharing the Word of God with children and we invite you to join us!

I'm new!  What do I need to know?

Register

Save time by registering your children early!

We always want to know the specific needs of your family, so we can take care of your kids best. For this reason, we have all new families fill out a Family Registration form.  If you'd like to come prepared, email our director to get the form ahead of time!

Come early

Don't be stressed about making it to service on time!  Be sure to come early to give yourself plenty of time to meet the team, drop your kids off, and grab a cup of coffee before heading into the Worship Center or Sanctuary.

How do you screen teachers/volunteers in Children's Ministry?

All Children's Ministry staff and volunteers have background checks.  Volunteers also attend Safe Gatherings training, that is mandated and run by the conference.
