Pride can get the best of us, moving us from a place of humility to arrogance. That’s what happened to King Uzziah we started his reign with great faithfulness to God and the people, only to see his strength as a self-created asset apart from the Lord. To be sure, it’s good to be strong – but that strong-willed nature and powerful leadership can be used to the detriment of others and to the detriment of our recognize that we need The Lord more than we often think. Yet, where Uzziah stumbled and tripped over his mis-managed qualities, the King of Kings we call Jesus never did – for you!
