Northern Hills UMC operates a client choice food pantry at the Ministry Center campus (4306 Naco Pass). We are open for appointments Tuesday-Thursday from 9:00 a.m.- 3:00 p.m.  Appointments are required and can be made by calling 210-236-6810.

The Food Pantry offers a variety of dry goods as well as produce, dairy, and frozen meat.  As a client choice, you will shop for your own groceries.  This reduces the amount of waste, and each family can customize what they go home with.  The amount of food offered is based on San Antonio Food Bank requirements. 

The food pantry is supported by donations from our congregation. and a lot of volunteers!  Typically, we will serve about 800 families a month and over 29,000 pounds of food. 

We are always looking for new volunteers.  Can you greet people?  How about putting groceries on a scale?  Better yet, walking out and loading groceries into the car?  You can sign up to volunteer by following the steps listed below.
