Life Events

Baptism marks the beginning of our lifelong journey as disciples of Jesus Christ.  Through baptism, we are joined with the Triune God, the whole of Christ’s church, and our local congregation.  United Methodists baptize in a variety of ways—immersion, pouring, or sprinkling.  Persons of any age may be baptized, but as we understand baptism to be an act of God, each of us receives the sacrament of baptism only once.

To schedule a baptism, simply contact the pastor of the service that you would like the baptism to take place or call the church office at 210-654-0881.

The Pastors and staff at NHUMC want to assist you, so that your wedding will be a memorable, spiritual and meaningful celebration.  We have an on-site wedding coordinator who will be happy to answer any questions about hosting your special event at the church.
