Tools for Teachers

For the past few years, we have collected supplies and given out backpacks to children in the community through our connections with the Family Specialists and the programs we support through the church. There have been many new organizations and services that now provide those backpacks, so we have decided to change the direction of collections and focus on the teachers who work tirelessly each day.  A classroom teacher could easily spend $500-$2000 a school year purchasing supplies for his or her classroom.  We want to lighten that burden a bit and surprise some teachers during their professional development week.  We will be collecting various school supplies and putting together teacher bins.  We will then be handing them out to the schools that we partner with (listed below) throughout the school year.  We would love your support.  Each bin with supplies costs about $100.  We encourage you to buddy up for a bin, shop for the items you see on the posters, shop for our Amazon Wish list, or make a monetary donation. Help us start some teacher's school year with a little extra pep in their step! 

We will be surprising teacher at the 8 campuses we partner with from NEISD.

Please bring your items to church by July 27.  Look for the collection bins in the Gathering Area and the Sanctuary.
